Third Annual Civilian Top Gun Competition Sunday, May 16th
Denver, Colorado, April, 2010:
T3RG Motorcycle Schools announces the third annual Civilian Top Gun Riding Competition, Sunday, May 16, at JEFFCO Stadium at 6th & Kipling in Lakewood. Patterned after the professional Top Gun riding competition, the object is to ride a motorcycle or scooter through a series of tight turns, swerves and circles without stepping a foot down or knocking into a cone. This type of riding is very challenging; the best riders in the country have been invited to compete for some pretty great prizes. This year, the riding competition will include a women’s division.
Riders are invited to compete or attend for a great cause. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project, (www.woundedwarriorproject.org).
The purpose of the Wounded Warrior project:
- To raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of severely injured service men and women,
- To help severely injured service members aid and assist each other, and
- To provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of severely injured service members.
Individual courses will be laid out for cruiser riders and sport bike riders; scooterists will compete on a gymkhana course. Judging will be overseen by former police patrol officers consistent with the professional guidelines of Top Gun Competitions. Competitors pay $50 to enter the competition.
It will be a full day of riding, activities, fun, and learning for the whole family.
A $10 donation is requested to attend; children under 10 enter free; all active duty military and their families enter free with our thanks. T3RG students pay half price.
